Today I met with the Dr. at my local Medi-Weightloss Clinic. I loved the way the clinic was set up and the fact that everyone was so nice and supportive. The 1st thing they did was weight and measure me. It was kind of cool to stand in their balance and for a little machine to spit out a piece of paper (like a receipt) with all of my information. The nurse also took my blood pressure.

After that was finished, they took a picture to put in my file. Then, they moved me to a patient room where they hooked me up to the EKG machine and then did a physical. The Dr. told me that there was something my EKG was showing up and that I needed to have it confirmed or denied by my primary care physician. He said something about a minor "infarct" or something similar. He did warn me that they have a very low performing machine and sometimes it gives false alarms. He is almost sure there is nothing wrong with me but in order to take the strong appetite suppressants I need to have my primary care physician give us the go. In the meantime they put me on the natural anti suppresants which the doctor says are not that strong (JOY!)
Lastly, the doctor met with me to go over the entire program. I really loved that he took the time to answer my questions and any concerns that I had. There were a few extra things that are optional to the original program (like extra vitamins and such) but he told me they weren't necessary and he was not going to try to sell me on them. I appreciated that!
So tomorrow I start my journey with this program. The 1st week I will only be consuming protein. After my appointment I stopped by Publix and bought what I needed to survive this first week. Tomorrow, I will be posting a picture of the things I bought and my plan of attack for this phase. Be aware: I do not eat Seafood and I prefer to stay away from Turkey.
Now, here are some pictures I took today. I knew the situation was not good but after seeing the pictures I realized I really do need to loose weight! I will be posting weekly pictures of my progress.
